Part 1
1. Which do
you prefer, e-books or paper books?
-I prefer
reading paper books because for me, reading analogue one is more comfortable.
-In fact, I have
never tried reading e-books.
-I just like the
feeling of paper books, the texture of paper and the feeling of paper I prefer.
2. When do
you usually read online?
-I usually read
online when I search for certain topics or when I want to find some materials
for my study.
-For example, I
often google about actors that I like
-Also, I use
online dictionary to study English
3. Will you
read more online in the future?
-Yes, I think
so, because in the future more information will be shared online.
-Even these
days, most people use online surfing instead of looking into books when they
have something curious or when they study something.
-So, in the future,
more and more people will read online.
4. Do you
think paper books will disappear in the future?
-Well, I don’t
think so, because it has its own feature as I mentioned, some people like the
feeling of analogue books.
-Even though
people looking into online to find certain information, the paper book will be
remained in the future.
-They are totally
different two materials, I think.
Part 2
Describe
something that you did with someone/a group of people
You should say:
What it was
Who you did it
with
How long it took
you to do this
And explain why
you did it together
I want to share
about the group work I did when I was in university.
So, in order to
write a report, it is one of the school project, in fact.
At that time, I
took a marketing course which was my minor, and in the class, one of the assignment
was to make a group and produce a virtual item and give a presentation to sell
it.
I did the
project with four other students and they were total strangers to me, because I
was a design student and they were all studying marketing.
So, five of us
did the project together. It took about two months.
We choose a
laptop as our item and I designed the laptop and other group members added some
features of the laptop.
And in order to
give a presentation in front of many other students, we practiced together.
So, at first, I
felt very alienated because I was by myself, some of them knew each other.
But after two
months later, after we prepared the presentation together, we became close and
the presentation was just okay.
Yeah, so that is
it.
Part 3
1. How do you
get along with your neighbors?
-In Korea, we
have a culture sharing food. Usually when a new comer comes in, new comer share
rice cake to other neighbors.
-So, there is an
old lady, living next to me. This lady was…uhm
-And last year,
me and my husband moved into this house where we live now and on that day we share
the food with the lady, so we became close to her.
2. How do
neighbors help each other?
- help each
other.. uhm. Like uhm.
-when there is
certain issue about our community, we can share information.
-And also, last
winter, it was quite cold, and in order to protect the water pipe line, each
house had to cover some, cover the pipe line, with some kind of protective materials.
-And the lady
living next door, helped us cover that pipe line together.
-So, in that
kind of way, we can help each other.
3. Do you
think neighbors help each other more often in the countryside than in the city?
-Yes, I think
definitely.
-In the country
side, they have more uhm they are more easy going, they have more time to talk
to neighbors,
-But in the
city, people are busy, and they don’t really.. not many people talk to each
other because they don’t have time. They just focus on their tasks.
-So, I think
countryside, people living in countryside help each other more.
-And because,
they.. uhm, their jobs, most of their jobs is growing some crops or growing
some fruits.
-That kind of
work cannot be done by themselves, so they take turn to help each other.
-So, it is more
like a daily thing to help each other.
4. How do
children learn to cooperate with each other?
-Children can
learn to cooperate with their peers by participating some outdoor activities.
-Especially, when
they play sports, they make a team and through that sports, they can learn the
importance of team work.
-And also, uhm,
they can naturally gain how to co-operate with their peers.
-So that’s how
they learn to help each other, in their young age.
- 장소 특정하면
좋았을걸 : kindergartens or
socialize space.
5. Do you
think parents should teach children how to cooperate with others? How?
-Uhm, I think parents
can give children more chance to get along with their friends.
-For example,
they can bring their kids to play ground.
-In korea, there
is a place called ‘kid’s café’ so, uhm, children gather together.
-So, in that
way, parents can provide some environment, some circumstances for their
children to get along with their friends.
-Also, when
there is some issues, friend issues, parents can listen to their children, and
give direct advice for them, because they are more experienced.
-That’s how they
teach their children to cooperate with others.
6. Do you
think it’s important for children to learn about cooperation?
-Yes it is quite
important I think.
-Because most
people belong to organization anyhow, like companies or schools, so they have
to socialize, get along with each other.
-So, knowing how
to interact with a variety of people, uhm can be the key to success.
-So, it is quite
important.
